A Network of Extremism

The hate group targeting our Pride Events appears to be a coalition of individuals from the US and Canada who have organized themselves into regional factions. The factions we know about as of June 19, 2019 are:

servantHOODs: lead by Phillip Ness Thomas, Scarborough, Ontario. servantHOODs Women’s Fellowship: lead by Kaylee Marie Lim, Toronto, Ontario. Bible Believers: lead by Ruben Israel Chavez, Los Angeles, California. Open Air Outreach: lead by Jesse Morrell, Lindale, Texas. Straitway Canada: lead by Brother Ugly.

These factions network with one another online and travel across Canada/US border to meet in person. Some of them hold regular meetings in person and over SKYPE.

Not only does this group routinely attack gay, lesbian, queer and trans folks – many of them have a long, public history of targeting groups based on race, gender and religion.
